Default Info On Buy Backs

My cousin has an 08 F-350 crew loaded. He is thoroughly disgusted with it. He is beggin to have his 6.0 back he's so disgusted. Question is, are there any online resources he can exhaust before taking it back to the delaer and "dropping" it off? Thanks.

As far as trying to get it repaired or to begin the process of claiming Lemon Law?

IIRC, LL varies slightly by state as to what constitutes it and how to go about it.

He has to have proof of service more than a certain number of times in a time period for the same problem. Getting the Lemon Law to work is very, very complicated and time consuming. My brother tried to lemon a 06 colorado but they would not lemon it, the dealer bought it back from him so that he would not proceded to keep "wasting their time".

Yeah I believe that you have to show proof that the vehicle has been out of service for 30 days or more in a consecutive 12 month time span.

I also believe that you are only eligible for the LL if the vehicle is under 12 months/12,000 miles. Any more on either side of that and it goes from a LL deal to a type of arbitration hearing with the BBB and the manufacturer.

Most states list all of the requirements and stuff. I just can't remember where to look. It's been a long time since I've had to deal with it.

i know a friend of mine was thinking about LL-ing his 04 6.0l as it had had everything go wrong with it in less than a year.... twice and a few things 3-4 times...... after reading up on the law in Florida if he were to LL it they would deduct the mileage from the buy back value and any other damage to the vehicle. after he figured out the mileage deal he was better off riding it out a bit longer and trading it in. he ended up way better off trading it in on an 06 F250 CC back in late 05 and he bought the 04 F250 CC in early 05......
