Default Head gasket

Ok my question is my head gaskets are starting to fail, I am taking it in to get ARP head studs new gaskets and oil cooler. I have a mechanic saying fix it and get rid of it the motors are no good, is this true? I have heard with the 6.0 once you stud them with better studs they are a good truck?

I bought a 2008 F-250 6.4 diesel brand new in 2008 & I had it deleted & added a 80 HP tune, I would drive my 6.4 like I stole it & never had a head gasket problem, the 6.4 is an upgrade over the 6.0, I didn't have my 6.4 studded, cause it already has longer studs from factory over the 6.0. If your 6.4 is in good shape I would only put in the new head gasket

From what that article is saying definitely change the head studs while I am in there replacing head gaskets. So you think it will be a solid motor after all this is done?

If you're going to give your truck the 300 HP that the H&S Mimi Max can give you i would say yes add the head stud, i never had head gasket issue with my 6.4 while running the H&S 80 HP tune.
