OBD2 Diag Port Not working
Posted this on Diesel Stop but wanna put it on here as well hopefully will figure some thing out soon.
Having an unusual issue with my 08 F-250
When hooking my MACTool Scanner to the OBD port its unable to connect.
Gives me an error message right after the protocol search saying to check connection, check if ignition is on, check ground and check fuses.
I used a test light to test every fuse in inside and under hood fuse boxes. Used test light and multi meter to insure the power pin on the OBD2 port is getting power and the two ground pins are getting ground. is there anything else that can interfere with the diagnostics port?
I will be running to local Autozone this afternoon to see if there scanner can connect. Just to rule out the posability of my scanner being the issue though it connects fine to my Car

Yeah tried that a few minutes ago and they were able to pull a cod (Check engine light isn’t on) so I’m wondering if the cluster has anything to do with the issue. The Speedo is bad so I’ve already ordered a new cluster. I was originally trying to hook up the Mac Scanner to pull the speed reading form the Computer to see if it was the cluster or just a speed sensor. The scanner works on my 2005 Corvette and even the GFs 2011 Camaro, along with my buddies 2000 Mustang and my 2002 F150 which I traded in for this F250. So I’m stumped why it wouldn’t read. Once I get the new cluster in ill try again, since my scanner data logs maybe the bad cluster could interfere with the full system diagnostics the scanner automatically runs upon connecting.
