Default trading my 6.0 for a 6.4

i have an 05 f250 xl completely base model. im getting tired of how boring the interior is and having manual locks and windows. plus i blew headgaskets and i dont feel like spending a ton of money doing studs and everything because i found a 2008 f250 that already has the dpf and egr deletes an h&s tuner and some other stuff done to it. i havent gone to take a look at it yet but it might have head studstoo. im not sure. i was just wondering what other things ishould look out for or have done if i do get it.

Is there anything i can do to prevent cavitation? and what about the injectors sticking open?

any advice/ help or suggestions are much appreciated.

I got my 08 about 20 days ago. love the way it drives. you may want to look at a differnt tubo, I dont like the way it spools. they come with a vain style, and they are great for towing, have the power there with less wait on spooling, but they dont have the same kick as the othere.
If you dont mind putting some time in (by that I a couple of hours is all) look at Snow perfomance Comp one water/methonal injection kit. but get the 7 gal res not the 2.5gal that come with it, cost about $1000 on amazon. it comes with a great programer that is just like the edge juice so that also controls the kit so you dont have to buy a programer and have cluter. It cools the air coming in and gives you up to 250hp ,ore and 500lbs of tor.

I just had to have the injector on 7 replaced because it went out, the are cheap on rockato.com. it is a commen thing on all ford, you can thank cat for that they are the ones that designed it.
get a stage 2 air intake, they have more surface area and let the turbo really draw the air in rather than it having to really work at it. and go to a 5" exsuast turbo back. gets rid of the dpf and with the programmer that comes with the kit you can turn the dpf and the egr off. then just need the delet kit for the egr.
Money up front but getting rid of the egr mean +3mpg, +1-3 for -dpf, the injection kit gives upto +5, +1 for air intake, +2 for new exsaut. adds up quick. head studs are easy to put in by the way.

let me know how you like it!
