I have an 08 F450 Lariat 4 X 4 that I bought in march 07. It was one of the first ones out. I had one issue with it. The electric fan had a seal that went bad and it lost all of its oil and would not turn on when working the truck hard. Thus It would heat up, but if I slowed way down the temp would drop back to normal. While driving empty, all seemed fine. I had my dealer check it out and they couldn't find anything. The tech at my dealer said something wasn't quite right so they tore it down anyway and found that problem. A new fan was put on and no more overheating and no problems since. I pull 26,000 - 28,000 behind her, and can cruise 70mph and pass anyone I want. fuel mileage pulling heavy is 8.5 - 9.2 mpg depending on throttle abuse, hills and wind. Empty I have had it get as high as 14, but it likes 12 a whole lot better. I have to say I like this truck the best of all I have had. I had a 95 F250 4 X 4 7.3 PSD that I put 240k on before selling it. Then an 05 F250 4 X 4 6.0 PSD, I traded this one in on the 450 after only 28,000 because I needed a heavier truck. In my experience, I have learned that a good dealer is hard to find. Alot of them just give you the run around. All being considered, I love this truck. It is comfortable as a luxury car, rides excellent, pulls like crazy, and looks good, too.

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you've had with yours, txredman. I hope the judge comes through for you on the lemon law suit.

I have one, to be honest. I was in the market for a quad cab 4x4 diesel, and which ever dealer gave me the best deal was the winner!

Well in Ford was will to work the most with me.

I have a F250 6.4 08

As of right now it is stock, but the plan is Spartan "nutty professor" tune, dpf delete, Cold air intake, and not sure on the exhuast, thinking MBPR 4" dually

Milage could be better, but from what I have read and see on the net everyone is saying once the dpf is gone, things get a lot better.

I can tell you this when the motor goes into Regen mode Mileage sucks!!!!!!
