Thanks. Got the plastidip idea from the import folks I hang out with. I just wanted to test how the matte black would look and figured I'd peel it off when I had gotten pics. But I'm thinking I'll leave it until I get new wheels now. It fits well with the bedliner sprayed step bars and tinted tails.

Now to make up my mind on wheels and get something ordered... Guess I'll be under the front end with a tape measure some time the weekend.

BMF wheels are my top choice. Some 20x10's would look killer on there. Fuel also makes a really nice wheel too.

I'm planning on plasti-dipping mine too, as soon as I fix my stuck caliper. You'd be surprised how many guys with super duties do it too! I can't afford BMF's for now, so plasti-dip it is!

Probably going with something from discount for budget reasons. I'm not a big fan of most big truck wheels, but they have a few I am entertaining.

Could one of you elaborate on plasti-dip? Is it like the stuff that is on a pair of Channel-Locks? What's the benefit? Is there a weight penalty? Is it done to the entire wheel or just the important side? Yes I live under a rock in the middle of the desert.

yes, it's the stuff you coat tool handles with. But they make a spray. Google "plastidip your wheels". Tape off tires, lay thin coats until covered.

Karl, it's basically a liquid vinyl in a can, you can spray it anywhere, and if you don't like it, it peels off. I've seen entire cars done in it. I'll probably do my wheels, it's cheap and easy. They have different colors now too and even a gloss one. I'm going to go with the flat black and see how it looks.

I'll bite, how did Discount send the wrong lug nuts? Are these shank lug nut wheels? I re-used the acorn nuts when I went from Centerlines to Eagle Alloy. I don't know if they were OEM or not. Anyway, why can't you re-use yours?

Need tapered seat lugnuts. They sent 14x2 thread nuts vs the 14x1.5 I need. Hopefully I can get the right ones tomorrow at the local discount, otherwise the replacements come in Monday.
