Default Kerosene

My buddies girl put kerosene in his truck last night at their house. Hes away in Afghanistan and shes no mechanic. She ran out of fuel on the farm and I told her to just throw in some the off road stuff he has a tank of for the tractors, just enough to get down the road ... well she somehow put in kero ... she didnt start it yet, but im thinking that there wouldnt be any issues, its pretty well close to diesel fuel

kerosene will burn just fine, but there's almost no lubrication in it at all, add some 2 stroke oil to it for sure, or something else to aid in lubrication. I run it once in a blue moon when it's below freezing (it wont gel like diesel) and I just add some in my vegetable oil tank, so it's like 1/2 WVO and 1/2 Kero. I would never run it straight, at least not in a 6.0.

Though, running a 6.0 out of fuel is probably just as hard on the injectors as it is running kero... or worse.

She filled it, how much 2S should I put in when I get over there? Or should I just drain it?

About a gallon. If you can drain it easily, go for it. If you don't want to go through the hassle, just add the oil. As long as you add some oil it will be fine.

Considering that I put in an extra 5~6 gallons after the pump shuts off (look up Harpoon mod) to get the fuel to the neck where I can see it, there shouldn't be an issue gettting another gallon in there.

Never thought about the lubrication qualities in my "I wonder how JP-8 would run in my diesel?"
