Default Am I the only one?

Who is a little flustered about the laziness of people these days? As much as I like offering a helping hand, I'm about to start really expressing my feelings on these threads that are asking questions that can be answered in literally 30 seconds on Google or on the Search bar at the top of the forum.

Sometimes it is just a way for new people to break the ice and start getting involved, sometimes we need to freshen the stuff in our minds too. It does get old at times but sometimes it winds up being something unique and new to us.

Preaching to the choir here....

I just deal with it. I could either be productive at work, or answer another thread about Edge tuners, or a warm hard start....haha

I may not be doing something correctly, but when I do a search at top of thread i get every thread frim chevy, dodge, ford, 5.9, 6.0, 7.3, ....and so on just because my search had the word "stud" in it and so did one of the 50 posts in all other forums. It would be nice if it just searched the forum that you are in. But like u said....I could be doing something wrong. Also, i dont prefer google, on this subject, due to the fact I could get a write up on my truck from some guy who has a buddy that knew of a girls brother who had the same truck. At least on here i know I'm talking to guys who have been and are there getting dirty with their own trucks.

I will apologize for myself for any past present or future stupid question. There will be plenty more to come, cause I would rather ask a dumb question than f@&$ up my truck.

Having said that...I thank you vetren guys, cause of the knowledge i have gained so far just by reading your posts.

No need to apologize, it's just how it goes man. We were all in your shoes at one point too. You're right, better to ask than to risk damage anyday.

Next time you click on "search" click on the "advanced search" just below, then you can choose which sections you want to look through.

See, even in a thread complaining about nonsense, someone learned something!

Sorry if I came across as a ***** but it just struck a nerve when I had been out of town for a couple days and come back to questions that had been answered before, some by me, just got a little frustrating. Didn't mean to lose my cool, like Mike said, we've all been there at one point. No hard feelings

A good venting every once in a while is needed.

No hard feelings at all ...dealing with repeat questions no doubt gets annoying. I deal with that from my wife all the time! Haha ... Everyone needs to vent from time to time. Good news...now that i know how to use the search correctly, its that many LESS dumb questions from me!

I have found that you have to be pretty specific when asking the search a question. It's almost a Microsoft Access program where the more key words the better off you are.

I go to other sites and see the same questions over and over. I'm pretty sure i have ruffled feathers in both sites suggesting they do their own research.

Fact is, some folks are like my dogs, you can say the dumbest stuff to them and they always look at me like, "Oh my god! He's talking to MEEEE!!!!!"

Another issue with a forum search is, outdated information. What might of been good last year, isn't acceptable now (ex: BO headgaskets). One of my pet peeves is someone bumping up info/link of threads from way back (07,08,09), the aftermarket for the 6.0 has came a long way!!
