I painted my own headlights (DIY harley lights), you could paint them any color you want. It might make for too much red though, not sure. I'd have to see it first. Could be cool...

I'd do black before red. Trucks already bright red. LOL. Need some more black. I plan to do black taillights and rims but money is tight right now.

That's what I was planning on doing. LOL. Been thinking about it for awhile but figured I'd wait till I got a h.I.d. kit first and do headlights also

FWIW, do some searching on here about the HID's. I got fed up with mine and took them out. They were never designed to be in these housings, but that's your call. Mine were just junk. If you do, make sure you get a good kit, like retro solutions digital ballasts setup. They are the preferred HID's for our trucks.

Might you be able to do a write up on this? Been wanting to do mine but not sure how, afraid I'd bust the lenses and plastic getting them apart

They will, buddy of mine put '05+ head lights on his '01, they line up surprisingly well too given the different size

Diesel Daddy, if you go on youtube there's a guy that has 2 videos up of how to do the VHT niteshades to your headlights and tails. I haven't done it yet but have painted cars so its not that hard if you have a steady hand. Do it the same way as the video implies that way they come out nice. If you just spray the paint on them and leave it they'll look like **** and you'll be disappointed. Sand them with 2000 grit. clean off the dust, spray them with niteshades about 3 coats. after first coat is applied wait 5 minutes to spray 2nd and another 5 to spray 3rd, then wait 10 minutes and spray clear coat on then 5 minutes and do another coat and so on. Usually i do about 4 coats of clear coat. Makes them look real nice. Then when it is 100% dried, you will wanna very lightly wet sand them again with 2000 grit to get the orange peel off. Then after you feel its completed you'll want to buff the hell out of them with some good buffing compound and them BOOM. They are beautiful. And if they scratch up from brush or anything, you can just use some good compound and buff them again and they'll be pretty.

Diesel has been a new world to my. But I come from a long line of auto mechanics. My dad and everyone. Oddly I've only known my dad for 2 years of life but it seems like it just comes natural to our family. I've learned everything on my own and just from digging in.
