6.0 problems not running right little ruogh
hi guys i have a 04 f250 6.0 I just did head haskets my self and after starting it it is running a little rough and when get on gas at first it hesatates it has 4 inch straight pipe intake new oil cooler and had egr delete and opions would be great
Is this the first time you've fired it back up? The high pressure oil system will need to bleed the air out before it starts running normal again. I believe Ford says 3,000 RPM for 3 minutes, or, just go drive it around and be sure to romp on it quite a bit.
Do you have monitoring capabilities with a scanner of some sort?

The smoke could be just from an incomplete burn. It's trying to build high pressure in the oil system to fire those injectors and can't with the air, so it will seem underpowered for a little while until you get it bled out good.
What else did you replace? Did you stud it? Did you have the heads decked, valve job, etc etc...

Just took for a ride to buddys shop it didn't smoke abd we hooked up scanned and disabled all the injectors one at a time and they all ran crappier till we got to seven so looks like injector deven is bad
That or it loosened back up. Ford's spec for torquing down the injectors is just a little too small. This happens quite a bit. That or you could have pinched an o-ring on the injector during reinstall... could be a few things. If it ran fine before this job and now it doesn't, it probably didn't die sitting on the bench waiting to go back in, something else is probably just pinched or not seated right.
I hope so I don't wamna buy s new one

You can loosen the banjo bolt on front of head and let the fuel drain out there first so it not under presure when you pull the injector, I tape a small plastic tube to my air gun for compressor and stick it through the the injector hole and blow the excess fuel out.
