Default Broken injector

I just took everything apart to replace injector #6 well when I got there one bolt was broke off in it other was missing an I have one broken wire. So I'm guessing the bolts on top of injector were improperly torxed? I'm going to try n wider wire back on an find some new bolts for injector an put back in. Is this a bad idea?

Yea was running bad. Has been running bad for awhile since sept. I've had two mechanics wrk on it but after last one decided I'll just do it myself. What do u want pics of? The bolt was broke off in bottom half of injector other was missing. An the red wire broke to injector. I'm just going to get new now. I can't afford another down day. Where wore is broke I don't think I can solder.

I have a spare 6.0 injector kicking around in the garage... bought it as a spare (used) and never ended up using it. Guy I got it from said it ran fine in his truck, Where in NY are you?

I was just trying to picture in my head what bolt broke, but I got it now. I can't believe the wire was busted too... how did that happen? Jesus...

Are you talking about the bolt that goes through the side of injector that hols the 2 mag cups on ?? or do these bolts go up and down?? the one that goes through the side I have fixed 2 of those in my truck, when I reinstalled them I used red loctite, they have a tiny nut on them 4mm, make sure if it is this one you find those nuts, mine were laying on the head and had to use a mirror and flashlite to find them.

I just got a new one I couldn't wait another day with out truck. Where the wire broke was right at injector an couldn't see wire an yes was 4mm bolts. When I pulled oil rail up the top half of injector was on it. Idk what kinda electrical connection was on bottom of oil rail then I realized that was injector. Truck still starts hard but runs way better than it has like last summer. It seems like it's gotta build up pressure to start. My lap top dropped with my memory stick for auto ingenuity ford bundle so I can't read if an what codes are left

After you take the oil rail off it takes a while to get all the air out of it, drive it some on and off the go peddal will help bleed out the air, it will get better

"ford says" 3,000 rpms for 3 minutes to bleed out the system...

I've been hearing alot about the loose or missing nuts on injectors... I wonder if that's my mystery problem? I'll have to pull it apart and look...

Mavericks problem is anew one to me, he said the whole top of the injector came off, that almost had to be overtorqued when it was built, not what happened to mine but still shows a nut and bolt can cause issues with the injectors.

Over torque of those bolts holing down the injector is a bad thing. I had to replace a lot of parts due to this .
