Ok a good freind has a 2003 ford with the 6.0 starts fine when cold after you drive it and its warmed up to operating temp it wont start till its cooled.Its all stock and always is pulling 10,000 pound trailer.We replaced both fuel filters.Truck is stock around 100,000 miles.any ideas would be great and thank you.I told him dodge was having a truck sale for some reason he was not laughing.

 

Sounds like hpo leak. Do you have access to a scanner to check icp desired vs icp actual?

What is he doing for oil change? filter? Intervals?

 

changes oil n filter ever 5000 miles

 

Mine went at 99,100 miles - same problem of no start

 

What oil is he using and what oil filter more importantly.

Definitely sounds like a high pressure oil leak to me...

Get it on a scanner, powerstroke814 hit the nail on the head.
