Default 6.0 problems

First time here so bear with me.

Just bought a 2004 ford f350 superduty powerstroke 4wd dullay with 6.0. The guy I bought it from had bought a chip to boost the power. He then started having troubles. High pressure pump kept going out. He got rid of the chip but the problem continued. The last time is was changed last than 6 months ago not many miles on this one.

When I got it, it would sart and run great until it warmed up and then it would die. And then no start till it cooled. Once started and running it will go till you let up to stop or turn then it will die.

Put a reader on it and showed almost all sensors are having trouble, plus low voltage, four injectors, having trouble with connecting to pcm, low air flow, main glow plug module and 4 or 5 glow plugs.
The glow plugs and injectors just befor the high pressure went out.

I have about come to the conculseion that the engine conrol module is bad but can find no where to get or have this one checked.
After reading some of the posts on here could it be possible I could just have this one reprogramed by ford?

Check the sticky notes at top of the page on how to test the FICM. It is real easy to do - I even managed to do it myself !

Also if you post the codes the guys here are real great about answering questions - also check the sticky note on what they want from new members - it helps them identify you with your truck

-test the FICM

even though the dying when warm sounds like a high pressure oil leak

Get us the codes if you can. Advanced Auto or any auto parts store should be able to read them. Get ALL of them for us.

Have your batteries tested while you're there. You'd be amazed at how poorly these trucks run and the problems caused from weak batteries. Have them load tested, a simple volt reading won't do.

Then test the FICM.

If you can get access to a scan tool, check icp pressure while cranking and see what its reading. Sounds likeyou could have a bad hpop.

we had the same problem , with our e-350 ford van 6L , right from the factory ,,,it was high pressure oil lines , crank sensor , turbo , and egr valve ,,, check these options
