Egr cooler upgrade versus delete

Default Egr cooler upgrade versus delete

Just interested in opinions about deleting egr cooler or upgrading to a Bulletproof Diesel or similar model? Pros vs Cons... help educate me please.

If you can get away with not having it, I'd dump it. At a minimum, dump the cooler. You'll pick up throttle response because you are redirecting exhaust back into the intake, and your EGTs will peel off quicker. Both are sound reasons to dump the cooler. The EGR valve isn't an issue and is just plugging the hole when the cooler is gone.
