Default Millenium Extended Warranty HELP

I have a 2005 Ford f250 with a 6.0 i bought it about 4 months ago with 63000 miles it now has 75000 it started smoking so i took it in and they said i have a blown head gasket and that my oil temps where high and the my egr cooler was throwing a code. I have the Millennium Bronze Extended warranty, dealer said they will be out in 24-48 hours. My warranty said it covers powertrain. Has anyone Experienced this and have the same warranty and did they cover it.

Also I found a kit with arp head studs black onxy gaskets and an egr delete kit with and sct tuner. Dealer said if warranty covers everything if i wanted to provide these parts i could and they would install them
FYI i only have about 25000 miles left in warranty do yall think i should go with this kit
thank you for the advice

Might not be a bad kit but you DON'T want those head gaskets, they have had issues with them, the best head gaskets to use are the ford factory head gaskets, oilt temp is too high because oil cooler is blocked and that is what makes the EGR cooler fail. basically what happens is the coolant passes through the oil cooler than to the Egr cooler, when the passages get clogged in the oil cooler it limits how much coolant can get to the Egr COOLER, it doesn't flow enough so the egr cooler becomes a steam engine and ruptures on the inside, so if egr cooler ever fails it is 99% of the time caused by a bad oil cooler, don't let anyone tell you any different because if they do they are lying or don't have a clue.....

Hes right black onyx have a high failure rate. Also one of the big problems with having the dealer is them not checking the heads very well for cracks or flatness. Get on their a$$ about sending them to a machine shop or take them yourself, if not they will fail again

I agree with these guys. Heads need to be decked and checked for cracks, ARP studs used, and OEM head gaskets used, otherwise that job is a waste of money.

Good luck, I've heard nothing but bad things about any of the aftermarket warranty companies. They're just out to take your money. Hopefully yours goes smooth, but that would not be the norm. Some of them won't even cover 6.0 powerstrokes at all.

well thats great to hear......about extended warranties. I called the service guy this morning and asked him if they are going to send the heads off and he said if warranty covers everything thats the first thing they will do. He seems like a straight shooter. My warranty did cover my high pressure oil valve front cover. so hopefully they will this too. if i do do the kit with the SCT will i be able to run my bullydog gt to use the guages

Should be able to use it yeah. I'd personally just sell off the BD unit and start over with a good set of stand-alone gauges, but that's more personal preference. Let us know how you make out with it!
