Default 2003 6.0 runs rought

OK so my buddy has a 2003 f350 that was running kind of crappy. He says it clangs and bangs until the oil gets up and around... I haven't seen the truck much personally but when I do I will get all the symtoms... so I told him to change the oil and oil filter and he said it got worse even when it is up to temp it runs like crap... so I cleaned the egr valve and still the same... the guy he bought it from said it has a new oil cooler and egr delete... will the egr vlve still get dirty if its deleted? I am going to check his ficm and change his fuel filters tomorrow. (Before the oil change he said it would take 30 min for it to started to straighten out.) OK and he is getting antifreeze coming out of the Degas bottle... so would a bad oil cooler cause the run like crap? I know antifreeze out of the Degas bottle means head gaskets or oil cooler.
He said no white or black smoke.
I'm going to check to see if it has a new up pipe instead of a crappy weld job for the delete
Check ficm
Change fuel filters
Cleaned egr valve
batteries tested good
Add rev-x
Check to see if ipr? Is leaking
So changed oil and runs worse!!!
If anyone has anymore input on what to check please let me know. Thank you guys!!!

Should have it scanned, The ICP sensor can make it run rough too, its a pita to get to on the 03s,make sure he isn't overfilling the degas bottle, only fill to the MIN line,Ford screwed up and the stock markings are not right on the the bottle, kind of easy to tell if the cooler has been deleted, look under the pass side of intake manifold to see if the EGR cooler is still in place..

I'm pretty sure I told him about the Degas level I'll check tomorrow... I told him To fill it to min line and find a hill and put it in third and tramp on it to see if it over flows again... as for the egr delete it looked like the stock cooler was still there like it was a upgraded one. Didn't look like mine the sinister delete. I was thinking something with the hpop system because got worse with fresh oil change and won't go away... he said the oil was way over due...thank you for the help and tips

what oil filter did he use?? hopefully not the kind with the cap already attached, they are not good for these motors.

Ok so he took it to a local shop and they got bad egr valve and ebp... They changed them and used hot shot in the oil and some fire stuff in the fuel... When I meet up with him later it smoke worse then my wood burner!!! And it's a constant white fuel smoke and sounds like it has a miss! So I checked ficm and was 48 across the board... So I changed fuel filters and they weren't that bad... Didn't change anything... I noticed white smoke coming from engine bay and found that manifolds are leaking... I seriously don't think it has a egr delete because it still has factor up pipe( unless they did the cheap way) we cleaned the degas bottle and no more over flow coming out, but there is a little nipple on the bottom of the degas that was leaking to we covered it with jb weld... When I followed him home I noticed that the white smoke would turn to black some times... What do you think guys? He says he's trading it tomorrow for a 12 valve so would like to try to figure it out ( I'm a ford lover!!! )
