the ficm tested out good with 48 volts!!the smoke goes away after a minute or so. The check engine light is on again with codes p2284 and p2288. i have had the IPR replaced high pressure oil pump icp sensor fuel pump fuel regulator rebuilt oil cooler and screen, and engine temp sensor. it acts like it has too much fuel, like the ipr valve is sticking or a few injectors, but it didnt run like this before the HPOP wenty so im at the end of the rope

Sounds like a nightmare. Idk if this helps but have you checked the pig tail of wires going into the icp I was surprised to see that oil forced its way about 4" through the inside of the wires which could of been my prob but I replaced so much stuff at the same time pretty much exactly as you did so ill never know exactly what my prob is. If with the New icp it ran fine for a little while and you are getting icp codes I'd guess it could be the pig tail check it out pull the rubber on the connector back a little with your finger nail and check for oil in there. At least that's what id do.... Good luck man I hope you solve your problems soon... Nothings worse than having a problem you can't seem to solve no matter what you do

Also when you say "local Ford garage" is this a dealership or a mom and pop auto shop? Reason I ask is its my understanding that alot of these mom n pop shops but not all use this throw all the parts you can at it till its fixed theory i can't confirm this because I do all my own work but I can say to have some one properly diagnose your truck the dealership is the way to go. hell ive got to the point where when ever im having a problem I can't solve I don't look anywhere else I just go straight to the dealership and they tell me exactly whats wrong I buy the part crack open a beer call a buddy and get to work

Oh I'm talking the dealership!! I have been mistreated by them!! They told me it was the fuel pump and regulator, they wanted to sell tthe work to me for 800 dollars I told them to pound sand I did it for 365! That didn't fix it so I ran it for a few days!! Still the same codes p2284& p2288 so I replaced the icon sensor! When I clear the codes the truck runs better but when the code comes back on its a load of poopy!! It doesn't stall out or anything just runs terrible! I'm going to try and make a you tube video and post it here this weekend
