What if that 04 motor was a boat anchor in itself an thats the whole issue? Not to be rude, but if I bought a used long block for my 67 Mustang, I would be doing compression checks, oil pressure checks, looking at the bearings, etc. We all know it's easier to pull a motor from my Hot Rod than my Souper Doody.

Well I have been lookin around tryin to find pics of what this butterfly actually looks like on the 6.0s and it seemed that everyone was posting pics of the ones without it. Dont know if this is actually beneficial or not to this thread but I went and pulled mine and snapped a couple pics. Mines an 04. I will check the manufacture date in a minute and post it. *man. date 11/03*

I have heard of these valves sticking shut and causing issues, however if he put the 07 intake elbow on, this is all a moot point.

OP, what's going on, any progress on this?

ok got a update.. my Ford trained tec is full of poo or a fool. I had another shop send out a man and in ten minuts narowed it down to a high pres oil problem.. at idle presure is fine as it revs up the presure rises then drops off. this drop off is around 2000 rpm. new tec says it has a blockage in the suction side or a leak in the presure side

So the motor was a boat anchor, now we're getting somewhere!

Well, not really a boat anchor, but the problem is internal not external.
