Default 2005 6.0 problem!

i have a 2005 f250 6.0 and im having a major problems with it running. when i start going i have no boost at all in till i start going a little bit and then it starts pulling about 4 pounds but will still barly go. it dosnt white smoke or black smoke and you can still hear the turbo a little bit. i just took the intake off to see if the turbo is stuck or something but it is still smooth and isnt stuck. but there is alot of oil in the intake tube going to the turbo. can anyone please help me i have no clue what is wrong

it sounds like the vanes are stuck in the eex. side of the turbo, it would need to be taken off and cleaned up with gumout. The vanes change pitch witch make it a VGT, sometimes they get gunked up and will have to be cleaned, I tend to clean mine often with the skinny pedal LOL/ this is something you should be able to do this in an afternoon. also pull the egr valve and clean that up, it is probably gummed up to and if it sticks open it will bleed off your boost but it will generally puff alot of black smoke when that happens.

remove the turbo then on the ex. side you will see all the carbon buindup and sutt, it will be a mess. clean everything in there you should be able to see how it works. when you go to remove the turbo you have to remove the 4 clamps that hold pipes on, for the one on the back drivers side it is alot easier to take the 2 bolts out for the degass bottle and move it toward the drivers side, then pull the plastic tabs out of the wire harness that goes over top the turbo, it has the black plastic schroud over it and tie it up out of the way. you will have to remove the oil line on top of turbo, you should get a new gasket for that, remove the little clip that is on pass side of turbo for the actuator, small elec. connector. then there ar 3 bolts that hold the turbo in place, one on drivers side, one on pass side, then one on the back, the one on the back goes up and down, Iv'e used a socket with extention and put it right over the exhaust pipe coming off the back of turbo to get that last bolt, sometimes it helps to have a second person to help line you up. when you go to remove turbo just pop it up and the drain tube in bottom should come out, it just sits in there, them you kind of pull it forward and spin it out and up toward the front passenger side, there are some vids on utube of people removing turbo so you can see what I mean about rolling it out. good luck and have fun
