So one of our work trucks we just got done doing alot of work to. New injector controller. Egr delete. New hpop. Oil pressure regulator. New oil cooler. Changed oil and filter. It ran for a half hour started about5 times then it just stopped running like it was not gettin fuel. Checked fuel and it was getting fuel pulled the oil pressure sensor off to check pressure and nothing was even getting pumped there. Possable bad hpop?

How about some more info about the truck, like a year?

When you're cranking the truck is there any smoke coming out?

Why was all of the other stuff replaced? Do you still have any of the old stuff? I'm talking specifically about your "injector controller", I'm assuming that's the FICM you're talking about (fuel injection control module). If you still have it, I'd be interested in buying it.

Its our work truck pretty sire its a 05. It is a 6.0l. We were having problems with it starting. So we sent it to the stealership and they diagnosed ether the ficm and another air leak on the hpop. So they reppaced the ficm we replaced the hpop. And oil cooler because it was leaking internally. We do regular mantinance on our trucks which was not very long ago so both fuel filters are new. No smoke when its cranking. Also no oil pressure coming out of the port on the right valve cover to check hpop pressure.

No smoke tells us that the injectors are not firing, typically a FICM or a high pressure oil leak. Have access to a scanner? We really need to measure ICP desired vs ICP actual to see what's going on with the high pressure oil side.

When you replaced the HPOP did the new STC fitting get put in? I bet it's cracked and bleeding pressure off. Real common on 05+ trucks.

Ya its got a new stc fitting on it. The hpop is not putting out any oil at all to the test port. Does the engine oil pump feed the hpop? We think that the hpop is not getting oil to it.

Yes the LPOP feeds the HPOP.

How much have you tried cranking it? It does take a few minutes to get pressure going in them again once they're taken apart.

It isn't as common, but it can and has happened yes. I believe Elite Diesel even sells billet LPOP gears as well.

Really needs to be on a scanner. You should be able to see low oil pressure with it. I've also heard of some trucks just having a real tough time priming. I'll see what I can look up on that for you.

Ya ford plugged it in to the scanner thats why the ficm and hpop were replaced. But mabye it needs to be plugged in again to see what else may have come up
