sluggish start
i have a 04 6.0 and when i start it it idels fine but when i start driving it seems as if it has no power but after a few minutes it runs fine. Its not throwing any codes, has a new ficm and new batteries. Im not sure if it could be sticky injectors?
Could be. I would still test the FICM, it's easy enough to do. A new one doesn't mean it wont fail again, it's not like the new one's have any more solder on the boards than the old one's, they all suck. You may want to try some Rev-X too.
cold skip.. FICM would usually start losing voltage when it gets warm due to radiant heat.. only way i know u can check for a cold skip is to gain access to the injector plugs and unplug one at time while a buddy of urs puts a load on the engine.. Do this when its cold..
or if u hae a scanner that reads power balance.

If you have a scanner capable of reading power balance, typically you can just shut injectors off electronically without having to unplug them.
FWIW, I've seen FICM's work both ways, some work good cold, then lose power as it warms up, and I've seen some that are just terrible cold but work better the hotter the truck gets.

Exactly, and even then they can still be bad. I have one right now that reads 48+V at all settings but the truck runs like complete garbage until it's up to full operating temperature.
I'm pretty sure AutoEnginuity with the ehanced Ford bundle can shut injectors off, I'll have to check again.
