Yah me too so far it’s been a great truck. We got it about 2 weeks ago. Have not done much too it since we bought it. Last weekend it started to be a little sluggish so i replace fuel filters and cleaned gunk off the motor. All is good and the wife could not be happier. I’m glad we ended up getting this truck. Mdub thanks for the advice and i did have a question for you, on the 6ohs are they super finicky about fuel filters? I was reading some of your other threads and my 7.3 runs great with the cheap filters. i really do not know much about the 6ohs.

Yes they are, a lot of the filters don't have the water separator. Find a local international dealer and get them there, they're much cheaper.

from ford they run like $120
from advance auto (they sell the motorcraft filters) they're like $55
from International, I've paid anywhere from $26 - $35 for a set. Depending on how many I buy. I would definitely ONLY run International or Motorcraft for fuel filters!!!

How much of your money do you want me to tell you to spend on that thing?

On a 6.0, some of the first things to add:
Coolant filter
Gauges (ideally, fuel pressure, ECT and EOT). fuel pressure tells you if your injectors are being starved for fuel or if the supply is good, it's the most important gauge on a 6.0. ECT and EOT (engine coolant temp and engine oil temp) should be monitored in conjunction, they will tell you if your oil cooler is clogging
EGR delete (if you don't live in Cali)

A free mod is the Zoodad mod, you can just google that.

Stick with Motorcraft or International on fuel filters, for oil filters same, or FRAM since the FRAM is the exact same as the Motorcraft. Don't use any of the oil filters that come with their own cap, they're garbage and some have been known to starve the engine of all it's oil.

Want me to keep going?
