Default Intake elbow

I was wondering if anyone could help me decide about a intake elbow... is it worth it? i mainly want it for the pre-tapped ports. if it increases flow that wouldn't be bad either. i have been lookin at products like the s&b, aFe, CFM+, etc.... any help would be nice....

i look at flow charts and it seems like the elbow is most helpful to the 6.0 2003-2007, thats out of all the diesels. they all claim to flow at least 44% over stock. s&b claims around 55% over stock.... i have heard you pick up throttle response...

You wont notice a difference at all. If you don't know how to work a drill and a hand tap, then it may be a good option.

Yeah they can crack because they're just cheap cast. I'm assuming it's for your w/m setup? Or is it a boost gauge? Did you use teflon tape? Mine had a tiny crack, but it was just on the outside portion, not all the way through by any means. If you're buying it for the pre-tapped holes, then by all means it's a good choice, but I would expect any performance gains out of it! I'm pretty sure there is cheaper alternatives too...

These guys definitely used to make some for the 6.0, worth calling them up. I think they were only a little over $100 IIRC... but don't quote me on that... 6061 6061.com Intake elbow elbows throttle body adapter throttle body adapter elbow mustang 4.6 5.0 fox camaro corvette gto lsx ls1 ls6 sheet metal sheetmetal intake

yes it is mainly for the pre-tapped ports for the w/m, any performance would just be a gain. and i did the bubble test and it was makin some big bubbles around the leakin area at 2 psi. i would love to see an alternative elbow opposed to the high dollar ones... hint hint... all i have found is the big name brands.

oh and i did hit'em up they don't do it for the 6.0 anymore he makes some nice stuff.

I put an Accufab on my truck. Didn't really notice a whole lot of difference. Only reason I bought it was I found it on craigslist for $35. Increased airflow cannot be a bad thing. On earlier models I heard it had more of an effect than later years.
