I'm not sure. The dealership put my oil cooler and egr cooler on right before I bought the truck, you'd think they would have said something.

I know there is alot of info on one of the threads on here, but in all honesty, I'm working todayfrom 6:30a.m. till 9pm, and dont have time to read them. So I'm gonna need yall to spoon feed me on this one so I can deal with this tonight. Thank you

They're bad if they mix. Supposedly you can run the green coolant in a 6.0 (though it's not recommended and it doesn't meet Ford's Specs, but running it for a short time probably wouldn't hurt). The real issue is if you're running gold and accidentally top it off with green and the two get mixed, that's no good.

Personally I'd still do a coolant flush and put the gold back in. Just my 2 cents.

flush is happening this week for certain. I lost alittle coolant when I put the filter on and needed to top it off with somethng, the bottle is still about a 3rd of the way full after its up to temp.

ITS REALLY bad when you mix green and gold. Doesnt matter how much of it you mix because theres still gold coolant in the block in the heads and in the oil cooler. WHen green and gold mix they make jelly. and plugs ports and cracks heads or blocks or oil coolers egr coolers etc etc.

I dont know how many 6.0s ive warrantied because of customer ignorance... or pure stupidity.

What's the best three sandwiches in the world?

I don't think you're going to get one answer for that.

A lot of guys run the CAT ELC coolant, it's red in color. I will say it does NOT meet Ford's spec for coolant though.

I've run Ford's gold stuff since the beginning, I'm at 87k miles, have the original oil cooler, just recently deleted EGR cooler, running a dieselsite coolant filter kit since about 65k miles, and my EGT and ECT delta runs around 3-7 degrees difference. I will continue to run the gold stuff for now.

Whatever you use, DO NOT MIX different coolants, AT ALL. Do a FULL flush before putting a different coolant in.

That Ford Gold stuff is pretty special from what I've seen, I wouldn't mix anything with it.
