Very nice!!
I have the same stand alone sirius setup also but its nothing like the radios that come sirius ready from the factory. My brother has a factory set up and when he tunes into a station he doesnt lose it regardless of how far he drives. Just the opposite, as u well know, with our stand alone units. I tune in to Stern for instance in my area, start driving, and it could be 30-70miles when i have to find a new "open" channel to receive signal again:argh:ve. pain in the a$$!! Also like the usb and ipod ready feature.. Looks like i will be checking out new decks in the near future since i was really let down when i purchased the truck and realized it didn't even have an ipod port. |

Amazon.com: FM Direct Adapter Provides a direct connection for a Dock & Play satellite radio to your FM radio: Electronics
Buy that. Unhook the FM transmitter from the sirius stand-alone thing, throw it in the trash. Hook this up. Send this to the back of your radio/deck. Unplug the FM antenna, plug this in between the deck and the antenna and BAM, no more worrying about having to change stations. Turn the sirius on, and this will over-ride ANY station you're listening to, even one that would normally come in clear, this will be crystal clear. You can thank me later. |
You mean i've been driving around for four long yrs dealing with a problem that wouldve been taken care of with something so damn simple??
Now that's what im talking about!!! Thanks brother!! ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- One more question: If i hook this up then i am obviously running off my sirius antenna but when i want to listen to normal radio then i guess im still listening off the sirius antenna? Is this what you do i take it? when you go back to normal radio, does that antenna perform like the stock truck antenna? |

Is this what you do i take it? when you go back to normal radio, does that antenna perform like the stock truck antenna? Took me a while to find this too, stumbled on it from a forum, you'd think Sirius would push this a little more? Everything will work like normal, this basically is just a "go-between" for the factory antenna and factory deck. You turn the Sirirus on and this over-rides everything, you shut it off, factory radio works just like it did before. The way the sirius works is actually becomes an FM transmitter, meaning it's creating it's own FM station, and you're trying to pick it up with your stock antenna, so instead of having that stupid transmitter antenna in the corner of your windshield trying to emit to your factory radio antenna, this plugs right in the line, and wham, great connection! Try it out, you will NOT be disappointed.:c: |

haha i guess with with a ford you need all the gauges to make sure it don't blow up :arch:
lol I'm just kidding guys not hating :tttt: Plus, I like turtles. |
You cummins guys always have something to say, but what I always find funny is that we see a lot of cummins guys hanging out in the 6.0 section... I know I don't ever go to the cummins section though... wonder what's up with that?
You like turtles too? Welcome to the site! :c: |

https://www.dieselbombers.com/member...0-imag0127.jpg Compared to CSI amd MDUB, I don't have much in my truck. :D On top of the dash is a 2 5/8" Spoort Comp Pyro, in the dash is a 2 1/16 Sport Comp fuel psi, and the Scan GaugeII is below the JVC on the right. If I had the patients I would change out all of my OEM lights to red. |
so just a quick question for your pods what kind of paint are you using so they match the int. and also everybody has these other gauges i think i saw a fuel gauge does the one that came stock not work or did you add a bigger fuel tank
