Default egr removal

A friend of mine has a 2006 or 7 Ford. He's looking for a kit to disable the EGR valve. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks

Well what exactly do you want to do, remove the valve, or just shut it off? Shut it off you need an SCT with custom tunes. Removal you need the delete kit. Are you wanting just the valve gone or the valve and the cooler?

I can't delete . CA resident. BulletProof makes a damn good aftermarket cooler.

Full delete, get the cooler and valve gone and put a solid up-pipe in without the scoop.

For you CA guys, bulletproof is pretty much the way to go. I'd probably just weld freeze plugs in the cooler though and weld the EGR valve shut. JMO.

Yes, I am in Cali and that is what I did. Weld up EGR cooler and leave every thing plugged in. Passed smog, no problem! Mine is an 03 and in stock tune the engine light does not come on with this delete!!!

If you have an SCT for the 05+ trucks, you can eve get a stock tune with the EGR function turned off. I think the X-cal 3's even have an option to turn it on our off right in the menu maybe?

I have a o3 f550 and what i did was replace the egr with a solid spool that i bought on e bay, i then bought a egr delete kit and just replaced the up pipe, i left the egr in place with the exaust opening open. I figure if its going to leak it will just leak out the opening and and no harm done. It seems to be running a bit cooler too
