my buddies truck died in an intersection about a month ago, I think he said it was an issue with the high pressure oil pump. He ended up replacing the HPOP and the injectors. Runs like a top now.

Has it been hard to start???

thats what i was afraid of. no the only time i had trouble startin was when the ficm was goin out and nothin since. its been a little cold hearted once its started but i figured the new exhaust and egr delete might have some say in that

Usually a dead truck like that, that just dies out of no where will either be HPOP or some other high pressure oil leak somewhere, or FICM's, I've seen them do this a time or two. Checking the FICM is really easy, to rule that out.

Have you tried scanning it for codes? FICM is easy to check... any good scanner should give you your pressure readings for the oil side too.

i dont have a scanner so its at the dealership right now. they r gonna scan it and tell me whats wrong tom afternoon i guess. the warrantee expired one month ago so im seriously hoping its not the hpop or the injecters. when the ficm went out before it ran great but it just started harder and harder untill eventually it just stopped. any idea on aftermarket hpop's or just stick with oem? how much do they run

All 8 injectors wouldn't just die going down the road like that, sound sounds unlikely. IF they try selling you a bunch of injectors, I'd question the FICM first. I was with a buddy of mine when his FICM died on his while cruising down the road. He had been getting codes for a week, but just cleared them and ran with it. Truck died at 65mph out of no where, no restart. Dealer scanned and said it needed 4 injectors. 1,3,5,7. Why would 4 on one bank just go bad? they didn't, it was the FICM.

Hpop sounds like a good possibility here though. Aftermarket isn't really released yet, and especially not for the 05+ trucks. There is a billet one in the works and being tested, but so far they haven't proven to do anything. There are 6.0's making over 1000rwhp on stock HPOPs, just stick with a new stock one. Unsure of price.

What I've seen is between $650 and $800, not sure on install. the ones for 05+ seem to be the more expensive ones.
