Default Truck blows white smoke til engine warms up..??

I have a 6.0..arp head studs, new head gaskets, egr delete, new oil cooler all put in back at the end of 2010. It's been doing it since i had all that work done and has gotten pretty bad here lately. I asked numerous techs what it could be..no one knows.

And i just had all the computer test run on it a few days ago..its showing not codes or anything.

What does the smoke smell like? It could go two ways here, but the smell will tell us which direction to point you.

Either it's sweet smelling like coolant,

or fuel smelling, which will burn you eyes a little, and it's fuel.

Let us know and get back to us.

It's a fuel smell.

Have you tested the FICM yet? It's easy to do...

fuel injection control module...you test the voltages at certain points...do a search on ficm on here and you should find the test procedures

Same Thing happened to me...... took fuel filter out and it was covered in junk. Wasnt getting enough fuel but once up to normal temp no smoke. Also, the fuel pump was humming loudly at all times if this helps at all

Well did you change the filters?

It seems kind of silly to ask about a fuel flow problem knowing you have clogged filters no?

Change filters, repeat test. Still having issues?

Did you check the FICM? You can google search it. Or PM me for my number and I'll walk you through it. I can even repair the dang thing for ya.

I did not know i had clogged filters and yes i refused to put the old one back in it was so bad. (Just purchased the truck and working out the kinks prievous owners left me) Ran down to advance and got me a Motorcraft kit for $50 . Still has a small amount when truck sits all night but after idleing for a few min its gone. Going to check the FICM sometime this week. Thanks and im sure if i get to that point i wont be afriad to ask you for your self help hotline haha

Just went through this with my truck thought it was fuel smell so did my dealer and 8 injectors and a new fuel pump it would still smoke with no change they had no idea. So i got tired of it and started to fix it myself removed my turbo and could barily see a little oil under the exhaust wheel so i rebuilt the turbo and now no smoke. If the turbo seal is bad any it will blow white smoke when you take off it will get worse the longer you run it. Good luck
