Most shops will not install EGR deletes in Polution controled states now. But if you live where its not a problem then ask around. Im sure you can find one somewheres that will install it.
Just from experience here in Cali. I asked a couple shops if they would install a Bullit proof egr delete. They said no and looked at me like I was some weirdo.

Depends what you're talking about. There are two parts to this, the EGR valve and the EGR cooler. Most full delete kits get rid of both. Just blocking the EGR valve off doesn't do much for the cooler, it can and will still rupture.

I used the "sneaky pipe" method for my EGR delete. This requires removal of the EGR up-pipe which connects the passenger side exhaust to the turbo Y-pipe. On this pipe is a short "T" that connects to the EGR cooler. You can cut the "T" off or just weld a disc inside. IF your model year truck (IIRC '05-'07) has the scoop inside you can remove this as well to help with exhaust flow to the turbo. Since these trucks have a PCM you may trip a soft code or CEL due to "Low EGR Flow" or something along those lines. Using an SCT you can have the EGR function limited and preventing the code or CEL. You don't need to run a performance tune to use the SCT. Just tell the tuner what you need the tuning to do and they will set it up.

There are other options as listed above. It just depends on how deep you want to go. I was still under warranty and wanted it to look stock. I have a full on delete version to install, I just need some warm temps to get it done.

But if it ruptures who cares it will all be contained in there right. It can't get into the intake.

It will still have a free flowing path to the exhaust, and you can bet it will still find it's way into the intake.

The only way to prevent this is to either delete the cooler, or just weld freeze plugs on both ends, that way if it does rupture it just fills the cooler and doesn't go anywhere.

found a place that does the whole intake manifold, EGR delete and all. but lost the website, it was expensive, but I would like to find it again, anybody?:humm:
