Default fuel pressure spring?

I've been considering upgrading my fuel pressure spring with the updated ford spring or the Gillett Diesel spring. The gillett spring will put it up to 90-110psi and im worried about blowin o rings. Anyone have any experience with these or know anything about them?

Thanks

I got the ford spring and my fuel pressure is around 70psi have heard that the factory injectors will blow o rings around 80psi but have not had any experience with the gillett spring and have not heard of any problems with them but dont see why you would need that much with stock injectors

I haven't heard of the gillette putting it up that high... you'll be fine. I run 75psi on my veggie setup when it kicks over, and so does everyone else using a vegistroke. We've had no issues.

They flame that it will give 90-110 and I have beard of a few people having 100psi after installing the gilette spring that is why I went with the ford spring. Why risk it with the gillette spring when the ford spring is more than a nuff fuel pressure.

My question is, what is your fuel pressure gauge reading now that you think you need the spring even? My guess is you probably don't even have one...

I don't understand why everyone is jumping on this bandwagon, if you're holding 55psi now, you don't need to buy a spring for any reason. You're fixing problems that don't even exist. If your spring in there now is worn out and popping off pressure too early, then yes this is a good cheap investment to try and fix that issue.

Very true without a fuel pressure guage you will never know what is going on. I got my truck back from my dealer having 3 injectors replaced a.d they tested my fuel pressure and said that it was good at 48 psi got home installed my quad pod.with fuel pressure gauge and it read 45 at oral and 37 at wotq on stock tune that is why I put in my ford spring.

I don't see the spring fixing that though. I mean in your case it may help since 45 is already bad. But say it's idling at 55psi like it should. When you get on the throttle and it drops down to 30's, that's a fuel supply issue, it's not the spring popping off. The pump can't keep up. What gauge are you using. I have an ISSPRO EV2 giving me funny readings and I'm not sure how much I trust it. Plus I'm reading fuel pressure a few feet worth of fuel line behind the heads so it's way down the line. Most read at the fuel bowl. I'm thinking of moving my gauge there temporarily to see what it reads.

Well not sure about my pump was wondering about it to if it goes going to get a air dog. After I put in the ford spring I went to 65-70 at ital an around 60 under a load. Seams to be working go to me but Maby not

well like we both said, if the gauge is showing it where it needs to be... I might get the spring to see what happens. Not like it's going to hurt. I'm fluctuating big time and just don't know if it's real or just the gauge. Going anywhere from 65psi down to 25 under load with just a mild street tune.... doesn't make any sense.
