Default 03 turbo rebuild

Hay i got a 2003 turbo that i would like to put on my truck the turbo is in good working shape and it has 115K on it but i was going to clean and rebuild it by replacing all the bearings and seals is there any other thing i should do to it is there any bigger compressor wheels i can install like on the 7.3. Thanks for any info

You will need a 2003 6.0L Turbo pedestal I believe

Yea i have that but you can install the turbo with the newer mount but you will not be able to get the rear bolt in the back you know the one that allways breaks that most people do not use anyways.

I guess nobody makes a aftermarket compressor wheel for the 6.0 becuse all i can find is ones for the 7.3.

Yeah not really necessary. Some companies just modify these turbos, Industrial Injection, Innovative Diesel sells some, Elite diesel has em... you could call them up and see what they offer. Their stage 1 turbos are based off of stockers I believe. That 03 will whistle something fierce! I'd just run that and if you get extra money just buy a powermax.

That is what i was thinking yea i love the sound of the 10 vane

Supposedly the powermax puts out a pretty insane whistle as well. There are vids on youtube, I just keep forgetting to watch them, and I dont have sound on my work comp when I'm on the forums all day.
