BotmylastFord Your comment indicates you have a 6.0L parked under snow. Are you interested in getting rid of it? PM me, I might be interested in Taking care of that item of no value.

I did not notice and thought i would ask but does the 6.0 come with a block heater? another thing I was wondering is that in late 2000 I think, ford went to PMR, so do you 6.0 guys have to deal with that when going for more power. what mods do you guys make.. all the norm?

All 6.0's have a block heater from the factory, however starting in 2005, the cord to plug it in became an "option". Some are there, but tucked up in there and out of sight, others simply just dont have the cord. The cords can be purchased for about $20 on ebay though.

6.0 rods are pretty strong. I know Craig from MPD made over 1000 rwhp on his stock stuff, but I highly doubt it would last long at all in that configuration. I believe most say 650-700 is the limit on the stock bottom end. They're pretty beefy. The 6.0 rods are larger and beefier looking than duramax rods if that tells you anything.

Mods? Depends on the owners plans I guess. A lot of 6.0 mods start off for reliability instead of power like most others. Custom tuned SCT with a good turbo back exhaust are usually first though.

thatnkyou for the info, yeah I wasn't sure on the rods, kinda figured on the block heater, it'd be dumb IMO to not have one on a diesel, I don't care how new or advancerd its supposed to be, they should all at least have the option for one.
