Default fuel pressure gauges

is it a pain to put a fpg in a f350 and where would i get one and what kind should i use

i just installed one a few days ago. i used an isspro ev2 0-100psi. you will have to get an adapter for the fuel pressure test port on the filter housing. i ordered the gauge and adapter fitting from one of our sponsors bbd performance. good prices and great service.

I just got the same gauge myself. Will be installing it this weekend. I will be mounting mine to the V3 manifold on my vegisroke though so I can read diesel fuel pressure and WVO fuel pressure from the same port using one gauge.

did your gauges come with all the hardware to hook it up

Yes they did. I believe for the 6.0's you will need one extra adapter though like Rickey said. I don't need it because I'm not installing it in the usual location.

just installed mine.. got the gauge off of ebay and ordered the adapter kit from itp diesel... glow shift with sender, 59.00 adapter kit was 39.00

Any particular reason that everyone is using electrical gauges for fuel pressure and not mechanical? I had a mechanical in my Cummins and never had an issue.

Because you're not supposed to have fuel under pressure circulating into the cab... that's just bad practice right there. JMO

I guess with the 55+ psi there might be a concern, if the hose ruptured behind the gauge ... and what are the chances of that??? I've never heard anyone complain that this has happened to them. Of course the Cummins was running around 19 psi, but I never had any issues. Those isolators were known to go bad, so the consensus was to nix it and run straight to the gauge. Is there anyone running the gauge without an isolator?
