Default Ford Diesel Mechs please help!!!!

04' 6.0 w/EGR delete, I've been losing my turbo when my truck's been running for more than about an hour. I'l be cruising about 65 and try and make a pass or hit a hill and i have no turbo. if I can push the truck up to about 70-75 i will get it back and the truck will take off, but anywhere slower than that it's totally gone. I recently cleaned it thinking the vanes were sticking but I'm still getting the problem. I chipped all the guts out of my cat but it's still happening. any ideas???? I've had people suggest that I have a high pressure oil leak. every time I take it to the shop, it sits for a few days till he can look at it and when he gets to it, the problem is gone. trubo spools fine and the truck has tons of power.

it's been happening for 2 months now and it's been at the shop 6 times only for them to tell me it doesn't have a problem.

have any of you ever seen anything like this???????

the last time it happened, I limped it home (about 10mi) and now it won't start. could all of this be due to a problem with the HPOP?? or could I have a FICM going bad?? or is it one of a million other problems the 6.0 has???

I'm deseperate please help

I got it to the mech and he scanned it and says there's no pressure at the ICP when cranking but he hasn't had time to dig into it yet.

P.S. it's throwing MAP codes but I changed the sensor about a month ago. it's also throws a exhaust backpressure code sometimes but I think I fixed that when I gutted the cat.

The cats on these dont really clog like a gas job one. If you've taken it off and looked through it it's really not that restrictrive, works more like another muffler. With that said, I ditched mine ASAP anyways...

I would try and schedule something with your dealer to have the tech go for a ride a long with you so you can replicate the problem and he can find it. I've also heard of some dealers installing some sort of a code reader deal that will capture anything while you're driving so they can go back through it and see was happening.

Could very well be the ICP sensor like the mech suggested. More of a PITA to fix on the 03/04 trucks as it's on the back of the block under the turbo.

Can you get the codes read and possibly post them here?
