a buddy of mine has a 03 ford Powerstroke with a 6.0 He wants to know if theres some good easy cheap mods to do with it. Hes got a 6 stage banks programmer in it now i think, but he wants some more power. What kind of stuff can you do?

 

do head studs and an egr delete for reliabilty first off, get rid of the banks, and go with a SCT with custom tunes from his choice, River City Diesel, Innovative, Elite, etc... etc..., then go with a 4" turbo back straight pipe and should be in the 400+ range

 

He needs to worry about maintenence before more power. Does he monitor his EOT and ECT? I would hate for him to make the truck run hard then it break down on him and not have any movey to fix it because of his new performance mods.

 

6.0 and cheap should not be in the same post
