unresponsive gas pedal

Default unresponsive gas pedal

its gettinin to the point where it happens 5-6 times a day its bad. dealer couldnt figure it out. wanted it fixed under warrenty but im givin up on that. any ideas what might be wrong?? help would be appreciated

Last time i heard of this happening to someone it was the sensor on the back of the pedal going bad. And if it didn't act up at the time the dealer was diagnosing it they wouldn't be able to figure it out because everything is acting normal

APS = Accelerator Position Sensor is the first thing I would look at.

i'm having the same problem just not near as bad. the sensor on the pedal would be the first thing i would check into in your case.. i think mine is wiring related since i had 2 broken wires in it. i noticed that mine only acts up when it's raining leading me to believe somethings not sealed up good. i have to shut the truck off for a min or 2 then restart and works fine then.
