ANOTHER STROKE NEEDS HELP!!
wassup guys. i was coming ack from dallas the other day pulling an empty 20ft gooseneck trailor. i have a 8" lift 38" tires, straight exhaust 3.5" down pipe, superchip micro tuner, afe intake. i was running about 80-85mph. i dont have gauges so i all i know is what my dash was telling me. i have been noticing my fan staying on alot more that normal. well i started out on my journey in economy, hoping my fuel mileage would get a little better since ii got about 8.5 on the way up there. normally i get about 10. i notice it wasnt running well at all. had no power, couldnt hardly get up a hill, put the pedal on the floor and it would go up to about 2.5 rpm and lose speed. i would barely get up the incline. once i broke the other side and started coming down i could get off the pedal and put it at about 1900 rpm and it would start gaining again and would be good to the next hill. so i pulled over after about 20 miles and changed my programmer to tow. it was acting the same way. so i pulled over again, and put it in hi-perf (this is normally the mode i run). it done fine for a while for about an hour and a half then started doing the same thing. sometimes on flat ground if i tried to pass someone it would do the same thing also, go up to about 2500 rpm and lose speed then i would have to get out of it. let the tranny shift out bringing the rpms to 1750 then i could give it a little then it would give me back i little untiul i got over 2000. i finally got home. after about 2.5 hours on the road i pull over to get diesel and sprayed the radiator out for a while with a water hose thinking it may be over heating. ( ohh and when i put it in hi-perf the ac quit blowing cold.. dont know why but it did. i was thinking it may be runninghot and not registering on the gauge so i cut the heater on the air coming out of the vents was unreal it was so hot you could only hold you hand there for a few seconds it was so hot. i close my 2 inner vents and pointed my 2 outer of the windows.) so i finally get home. its a 5 hour drive total to my house. the truck cools off a little, i unhook the gooseneck and take off the programmer completely. but no before running my codes. it gives me p0341, p1000, p0403, p0405, and p2269. aftewr i get back in it and run it around town for a while. it runs good i obviously dont see the power that i had before with my programmer but i runs alot better. got up to 90 easily going up a hill.
i know why it gave me p0403and p0405 because i have my egr valve unplugged. i also check my my dtc's when i had it on tow right before i put it on hi-perf. it read p0238, p0603,p0403, p0405.
it didnt blow any smoke through none of this either. we are moving to dallas and i am about to load a chevy on the goosneck and haul it to dallas. or do i need to hook the gooseneck to the chevy and haul the stroke to dallas??
please help!! ive had people tell me they think my programmer is crapped out??? i guess anything is possible. :arg h:

Your programmer is probably fine, but I bet it's what caused most of your issues. Sounds like slipping tranny and blown headgaskets/EGR cooler. Have you checked your coolant level? Is the degas bottle all white? It's where the coolant sprays out when the headgaskets are shot. For the future, you will want a set of gauges with a tuner, especially when towing, and never tow something that heavy on a performance tune without gauges. Things can get really hot, really fast, as you could see by what was blowing in your truck. Usually when the fan starts kicking on a lot, you've already lost a lot of coolant.
I'll check the codes tomorrow, it's late and I've had a long weekend. Maybe someone will beat me to it by then....
Off the top of my head the P04xx are EGR codes, which makes sense since you have it unplugged. P1000 is nothing at all, just an incomplete run cycle, it will go away with some driving and means nothing. The others I can do tomorrow or someone else can check.
