6inch lift questions?

My buddy has 6" lift and 37's and there's no way he's pulling a gooseneck. The top of the bed is level with my eyes and I'm 6' tall. His front is actually a 4" lift and 2.5" leveling blocks the front tires rub a little bit on the inside of the fender wells. They are 37x12.5x17 on 17x9" rims. He had a 6" drop hitch and he can no longer even tow a snowmobile trailer with it because of the angle. He needs at least a 12" drop for that.
I have another buddy with a 6" and 37's but he has different offset wheels and it doesn't rub in the fender wells, but it does hit the lower valance on the front bumper. He eventually trimmed it and it's good, but I couldn't see towing a gooseneck with either.

I find it hard to believe that 37's will fit on a 6in lift on a Dodge. Ford's have some of the largest wheel openings of any of the trucks and I know the 37's will rub a little on a 6" lift, depending on wheel offsets. Some will some wont. It looks cool as hell, but you wont be towing much of anything without an extreme drop hitch, and GN and 5'ers are out of the question, unless you jack that up too, and that height would be dangerous to tow.

I have a 6 inch lift and WOULDN'T try a set of 38s with it. Get a Pro-Comp 6 inch rear spring like mine (blocks are for building houses), a set of 315s and leave it at that. My friend's goose neck hooks up in his lifted 79 F350 rolling 35 inch Toyos fine. I'm sorry I don't know the brand of trailer, but I do know it has a vertical adjustment for different bed heights. Besides, if you want to roll 38s AND pull a GN, I see gears in your future.
