Default need help with 6.0

My 6.0 has multiple sympyoms hesitates when taking off from stop if setting very long at idle and blows out black smoke when I excelerate and then runs fine. Also lacks power until warmed up acts like turbo not spinning up.

The vanes are stuck in your variable vane turbo or the control wire is unplugged from the turbo VGT control valve but you may have Faulty EP sensor, VGT control valve slow to respond, Stuck VGT valve, faulty PCM.

How many miles are on the truck, how often does it get used, and what is it primarily used for?

Sounds like stuck turbo vanes to me. There is a cleaning procedure you can do yourself.

It takes some time to do, but cleaning the turbo certainly wont hurt anything, wont cost nearly anything and is a good way to eliminate possibilities.
