Default arp studs question

I was just wondering if any of you have installed ARP's and have still blown a HG?

Ive heard of a few. Thats why I recommend also doing an EGR/EGR Cooler Delete at the same time as you do the Studs.

Gotta make sure the heads and deck are flat. the 6 leakers don't like anything but perfectly flat.

I did. Mine were installed by the tech at the dealership under warranty. I'm going to redo them myself. Definitely need to have the heads decked for flatness. This includes brand new heads from Ford.

Bring the heads to a reputable machine shop and have them decked no matter what. Ford told me my heads were flat and look what happened. Some of the Ford technicians on the other forums say to have brand new heads decked. It's not worth it to put a head back in and do all that labor and NOT have the heads decked.

the shop by my house flat out refuses to do headstuds without machining the heads down. so yes it is a very critical thing to get the heads 100% to the T flatt

Maybe 4/1000th or somethin, 4/10th or 2/5th is almost half an inch.
