That a good question I figure with simple mods the 6.0 can make 450hp and shouldnt shorten the life span by much it will take alot more work to get 450 on the ground with the 7.3 they only run about 200-225 on the ground stock so big injectors and turbo its hard to say what the life span would be for the 7.3 after more than doubling its power

if you do the egr delete and headstuds i could see the 6.0 being able to hold its own against a 7.3 in terms of length of ownership...also there is something you might want to look into if you get the 6.0...its by MKM Customs and its called the 6.0 complete fix kit...there is a thread about it to...

how much would that kit cost? would it be worth the money? the truck i found only has 135,??? which is good for the truck its the work truck with the bench seat roll up windows 4 wheel drive on the floor not the electronic which i could care less about that stuff but all and all its a nice truck i want to get stuff that would boost power and mpg without tearing the truck up a whole lot

ive heard that its good...but i dont have it...the kit if i remember right is like 1300 or so...

thats really not bad of a price the only bad thing is finding someone who will do the work and not destroy you with labor im definatly leaning toward the 6.0 the more info u guys are giving me its really helping me in my decision so thank you
