We're supposed to be getting another 25"s of snow this weekend so i probably won't be able to do anything with it again this weekend. i filled up monday and i think i'm getting better gas milage this tank than i have the past couple. I've also noticed that at idle my exhaust doesn't whistle as loud as it used to?? I'm at 4k on this oil change and i'm gonna go home tonight and lay in the snow and change it i can't wait any longer. i'm hoping it helps alot out gettin that fresh oil in there. Oh yea.... tonight i'm going to the JASON ALDEAN CONCERT!!!! F yea!!!!

Keep checking for codes, if they clear and repeat or for any new ones. Have fun at the concert.

Friday driving home from work i ran into some trouble.... after just hitting running temp. i was coming up the interstate on ramp in 3rd gear and my truck felt like it bogged down and started to die out on me so i threw in the clutch gave it a little rev down shifted and when i looked back my truck had blown out a cloud of white smoke(raw diesel not coolant. i know for sure) so big i could see NOTHING behind me... i got it going down the interstate with a huge loss of power and pulled off the exit to head to my house. when i slowed down after exiting the interstate and went to go again at the light my truck did that same thing again and i had to give it a little rev to kinda clear it up and go again... well i decided it was time to fully check everything out that i could. i took it down to my friends shop(did this crap the whole way there) and check **** out. the day before this all started happening i cleaned my egr. don't know if this has anything to do with it or not... and when it was happening i didn't pull up a single code on my edge? well the first thing i did was check my ficm voltage. 48.xx volt KOEO, but my engine temp. was at 160* and i've read to do the test when your eng. is under 60* would this have effected my results? i also pulled my egr valve back out and inspected it. everything looked fine? so i did an injector buzz test and everything passed, and i used the scan tool to do a self diagnostics test everything passed and i pulled up no codes? well my friend suggested unplugging my batteries and letting all my computers reset so i did that too. the last thing i did was pull a sample of the fuel just for ***** and giggles and see what that looked like. well i put it in a dry water bottle and let it sit for maybe a min or so. i filled about maybe half of the bottle up and water sank to the bottom and was about enough to cover the bottom of the bottle...when i left the shop and drove home everything seemed fine? no smoke full power sounded good? What my questions are i guess is... will my engine temp being higher than 60 during the ficm test make it read wrong? and could that much water in my fuel have been my problem, or is it something else?

They say to do the test when engine is cold. It may very well change the results. Where did you pull the fuel from? Water in the fuel is never a good thing. Your problem could very well be a turbo issue as well. What was your boost gauge reading when it was acting up? I haven't read through the entire posts for a while, and don't remember, Do you have this problem without the edge ( put back to stock)?
