lately the truck has been problem free.the truck runs downthe hwy great.running around town when the problems strart.acceleration is fine till u let off the accelarator when mashing the gas again blows black smoke and stumbles badly.does not do this all the time and no rhyme or reason at this point.recent oil and all filters(4) changed. no codes or engine lights at this time.plan on scanning truck but no engine lights.this truck is a 2004 f-350 6.0 liter powerstroke 4 door long wheel base.4x4

 

What model and year truck are we playing with so I can move it to the correct forum.

Sounds like the vanes are sticking on the turbo. It can be cleaned.

scanned the truck and the egr codes came up.so i unplugged the egr and the truck ran fine.so now i will be ordering egr bypass kit.thanks
