I have the one from elite diesel. It works fine they have several kits to choose from depending on where your headed with your truck. Mine threw a code but the sct will shut it off

What all is involved with deleting the EGR Cooler? Do you have to pull the intake , turbo ect.?

Depending on the current EGR problems there are two ways to "work around" the EGR system.

First: If you EGR cooler is toast then you might consider a full EGR delete. Since you have to pull the intake, turbo and other parts get all the crap parts out and fixed once and for good.

Second: If your EGR system is working with no issues you can mod the EGR up-pipe. This pipe runs from the right side exhaust manifold to the rear of the EGR cooler and connects to the turbo Y-pipe. You remove the y-pipe, weld in a steel disc (1.5" diameter, remove the scoop found on '05-'07 trucks) then reinstall the up-pipe.

For certian year trucks you may need an SCT tuned to remove the EGR valve function to prevent a CEL or code after completing the EGR delete or up-pipe mod.

can you keep the egr and use a sct tuner to shut it off and keep it off? plus does anyone have any plans that you can use just to make a egr delete/cooler delete? thanks.

You need to keep the hot exhaust out of the EGR cooler otherwise you will rupture the cooler potentially hydrolocking the motor.

im running a manifold from Doug at direct injection.. it is a full EGR delete. all i really had to do was weld the uppipe. but theres a couple of companys that make the uppipe for cheap that you can get to throw on and not worry about the welding yourself method. on Dougs manifold, hell leave the spot for your EGR valve so you can throw it back in when you need to get an inspection. plus, you can pull the cooler out and make some more room in there. also, theres only one hookup youll need to worry about, and thats the connection from the oil cooler to the degas bottle.

and yes, the truck will run normal, even with the CEL light on. if you have an SCT, you can keep that light from coming on.
