I agree, I have mine mounted where the overhead console goes, right between the sun visors. stay as close to the windshield as you can and there is a bracket for the overhead console you can screw into.

Do like my genius cousin did to his King ranch, Sandwich it between the driver seat and the console! The console is scatched beond repair and the seat aint lookin too good either.
