Default Straight piping 2005 f250

Can I take the cat out of my 2005 f250 and pass inspection?

yeah I was wondering that too looking at a 4" turbo back system, yes I'll run a muffler, but it eliminates the cat. If I have to run the cat, how much of a difference will I see with a cat back 4" system?
Ive seen some 4" kits with 3.5" down pipe, through the stock cat, then 4 in from there back. I dont want just the sound I want the performance increase as well, in reality I want the performance more.

I used the MBRP 3.5" downpipe and MBRP cat delete pipe. Both fit together very well and the cat delete pipe fits the OEM exhaust piping. SO I had the muffler cut out and ended up with a T409 3.5" exhaust straight piped for under $300. If required I pick up the kitty from the vet for a quick install and I'm covered for warranty work or emissions testing.
