Default 05 6.0 question

So recently my 05 f250 ran fine i shut it off went to start it and it did nothing but crank. I read where you can remove the lpop regulator and the spring was under pressure. I found one small piece of metal and then changed the oil. I put a magnet in the oil and got few very small metal flakes. I guess my question is should i get another truck? Its running like normal, even got on it hard and ran great. No grinding sputtering or anything. It has 140k miles and i have an sct tuner with innovative diesel tunes. This is the first problem ive had with the truck. I love it and dont want to see it go. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ,
Ryan

I would run it awhile and take a sample and then have an oil analysis done.

Blackstone is as good as any for "Used Oil Analyses". Polaris is another one. Apexoillab is another choice.
