Good day, folks. Just picked up my first ever Ford, and diesel, at the same time. 05 F350, 6.0PS. 73K original miles, body is in very good shape. Swapped out stock exhaust for 4" Diamond Eye, also replaced air filter with Airaid system. Last weekend, started to smoke pretty bad. No.... REALLY. Bad. Did not seem to lose power, stutter, or anything. I did notice a "shudder" at around 50 MPH that I had attributed to some tar in the tires. This shuddering was not present before 45 MPH, nor after around 55 MPH. (Not sure if that's even relevant, but figured I'd better add that too.) Smoke is an acrid smelling grayish whitish, sometimes black. Still starts fine, but when giving it some gas, up to around 3500-3750 RPM, boost only goes to 10PSI, whitish smoke at that time. Replaced the EGR; old one was a little carboned, not like some pics I've seen of really bad ones, but point is it didn't remedy the problem either. No CEL activation either. Any help is mucho appreciated.

(BTW, no scanner, and I'm just a novice at mechanics, let alone diesel, so be gentle, please...LOL..)

Pull the hot side pipe off the turbo and check for an abnormal amount of oil in the pipe. It's possible your turbo has gone bad and is pumping oil through the intercooler.
