Default Throttle body plate

Hi I have a 2004 ford 6.0L Throttle body plate is not opening when plugged in but when I unplug the throttle plate motor my truck seems to run ok but my check engine light is on.Should I buy a new throttle body or should I just remove the plate? If I remove the plate and plug it back in will the check engine light still stay on?

Get an 05 up elbow, it will remove the valve and aftermarket ones flow a little better

If I get a 05 and up elbow I will not be able to plug in my sensor? Will my check engine still be on with the 05 elbow because I can't plug in my throttle body motor?
