Default Destroked 03 trans/tcase problems

My buddy has a 03 F350 Single Cab 4x4 auto with a VE 12V (originally a 6.0). It's a beat up farm truck but runs decent for what he needs (feed truck and reliable towing). It only has about 120k miles on it and gets 8-10 mpg like clock work.

Now for today's problem, the tcase - trans bolts worked out and the rear flange of the trans snapped off. The tcase took a nose dive out of the truck but looks fairly decent considering, the rear drive line parts are pretty banged up.

Time for a manual swap? If so nv5600 directly to the Cummins or zf5/6 to the adapter plate? Or new tail housing on the auto? Any help either direction would be great at this point.

Well if anyone is reading this we ended up with a low mile 5R110, matching 271 tcase to go behind it.

He still needs a rear drive shaft and no salvage yards have came up with one and both his CV joints need replaced. If anyone has any leads he would appreciate it, it is a single cab long bed one piece shaft.

BTW under further inspection the engine is a 1990 12 Valve VE pump with a W1C turbo and the factory 6.0 inner cooler hooked up.

Still no clue what kit was used for this swap.
